Hello! I’m thrilled to be joining the Batavia Art Department. During high school, I didn’t initially plan to become an art teacher—I was more interested in becoming an FBI agent or a crime scene investigator. However, when I needed a CTE credit, I decided to enroll in an Intro to Teaching course, thinking it couldn’t be too difficult. That’s when I discovered how fulfilling it could be to share my passion for
art with others. Plus, not having to do sit-ups or run a mile to earn my license was a nice bonus!
After completing the Intro to Teaching class, I went on to earn my degree in art education from NIU.
I’m so excited to have found a career where I can have fun and make a difference. I can’t wait to be a part of the Batavia community this upcoming school year and see all the amazing creations everyone will come up with. :)
